When I was a kid my dad worked in a factory in a big three auto union. They almost went on strike once, and when one of the local supermarkets told them that they wouldn't support the picketers, the supermarket had to go out of business just a few short months later because none of the union workers or their families, or their families' families ever went there again. Yes, most were Democrats and they stick together better than most religious groups. We have to take a page from their playbook and start standing together on who we give our time and money to.
